Sun wächst um 17 Prozent

Sun berichtet die Ergebnisse des ersten Quartals im Finanzjahr 2007

Wien (pts010/27.10.2006/10:24) Sun Microsystems meldet seine Ergebnisse des ersten Quartals im Finanzjahr 2007, das am 1. Oktober 2006 endete. Der Umsatz im ersten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2007 erreichte 3,189 Milliarden Dollar. Das entspricht einem Anstieg von 17 Prozent im Vergleich zu 2,726 Milliarden Dollar des ersten Quartals im Finanzjahr 2006. Der Anstieg im Jahresvergleich ist sowohl auf die Firmenzukäufe als auch auf die weiter steigende Akzeptanz des Solaris 10 Betriebssystems und die Zuwächse im Service-Geschäft zurückzuführen. Der Umsatz im Bereich Computer Systems stieg im Jahresvergleich um 15 Prozent, eine Zunahme, die bereits im dritten aufeinander folgenden Quartal zu verzeichnen ist. Der Nettoverlust im ersten Quartal beträgt auf Basis der US- Bilanzierungsmethode GAAP 56 Millionen Dollar (2 US-Cent je Aktie) gegenüber 123 Millionen Dollar (4 US-Cent je Aktie) im Vergleichsquartal des Geschäftsjahres 2006. Der Nettoverlust im ersten Quartal des Finanzjahres 2007 schließt nach US-GAAP ein: Aufwendungen in Höhe von 21 Millionen Dollar für Restrukturierung und der damit zusammenhängenden Wertminderung des Anlagevermögens, 7 Millionen Dollar daraus resultierende steuerliche Vorteile, 58 Millionen Dollar für aktienbezogene Vergütungsprogramme und 79 Millionen Dollar für Abschreibungen auf immaterielle Vermögenswerte aus den zuletzt getätigte Firmenübernahmen. Der Netto-Einfluss dieser vier Faktoren macht etwa 4 US-Cent je Aktie aus. Der Cashflow im operativen Geschäft betrug im ersten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 157 Millionen Dollar. Die Summe an Wertpapieren und Barmitteln belief sich am Ende des Quartals auf 4, 671 Milliarden Dollar.
