Montana Aerospace – a highly vertically integrated aerospace supplier – today announced the extension of a long-term supply agreement with Airbus. Under the renewed contract, the company's division Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC) U.S. and Europe will supply a wide range of aluminum extrusion parts for the Airbus family of aircraft.

For more than two decades, UAC sites in the U.S. and Europe have been reliable suppliers to Airbus. With this contract extension, Airbus reaffirms its trust in the global market leader for heavy- and lightweight aerospace extrusions, securing the supply of essential structural components across the complete Airbus family of aircraft.
A significant share of these extrusions undergoes further in-house processing — enabled by Montana Aerospace's robust vertical integration — spanning CNC machining, advanced surface treatment, and comprehensive sub-assembly operations. This integrated value chain ensures maximum efficiency, uncompromising quality, and long-term supply security.

Kai Arndt, Co-CEO of Montana Aerospace, stated: "Today's contract extension marks a milestone in our partnership with Airbus. It highlights Montana Aerospace's key role as a leading manufacturer of structural parts for the aerospace industry and confirms our ongoing investments in capacity, technology, and our one-stop-shop strategy for aerospace."

Montana Aerospace's collaboration with Airbus extended
Montana Aerospace is a leading global manufacturer of high-strength extrusion parts for the aerospace industry. Its long-standing collaboration with Airbus is built on consistent reliability and exceptional quality. Today, Montana Aerospace supplies a wide range of components for numerous Airbus programs — from single-aisle models to long-range aircraft — making a significant contribution to the entire Airbus family of products. The multiple prestigious SQIP Awards the company has received from Airbus further highlight its outstanding performance in quality, delivery reliability, and process excellence.

Extrusion — a key technology for aerospace
Extrusion technology is indispensable for aerospace applications, as it enables the production of lightweight yet high-strength components with maximum design freedom and production efficiency. Montana Aerospace has significantly expanded its extrusion capacities in recent years: In 2021, the company opened a second state-of-the-art plant in Romania, equipped with presses for aluminum, titanium, and specialty steels. In 2024, it commissioned Europe's largest aluminum large-diameter press alongside a billet casting facility enabling alloy casting and full recycling to support current and future production rates. These investments strengthen Montana Aerospace's position as a global leader in extrusion production and underline the company's unique one-stop-shop approach: from development and design to production, customers benefit from fully integrated solutions along the entire value chain. By combining this comprehensive service with energy-efficient manufacturing processes – including the complete recycling of aluminum scrap from its own production – Montana Aerospace actively reduces the carbon footprint of aerospace manufacturing.

This contract extension from Airbus confirms Montana Aerospace's position as a strategic partner for the future, reinforcing the company's role as a technological innovation leader and reliable supplier to the global aerospace industry.
