From Switzerland to the United States - Cuban artist Analvis continually delights the world with her artworks

Analvis will exhibit her art at the Art Basel Art Week in Miami

Zurich, Switzerland (ptp029/20.11.2019/14:00) After presenting some of her impressive artworks in Zurich as part of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0, Analvis Somoza announces today that she will continue her journey with ARTBOX. In December, she will exhibit one of her artworks during the Art Ba- sel Art Weeks in Wynwood, the art district of Miami, as part of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Miami 2.0. As in the previous project, her art will be presented digitally on a high-resolution screen. Patricia Zenklusen, CVO of the ARTBOX.PROJECTS, is delighted to continuously work with the Cuban artist. "We were very happy about the valuable contribution Analvis made with her works to our previous exhibition, and we are looking forward to presenting her art in our future project," she stated.

Analvis started her artistic journey in the nineties in the Elementary School of Plastic Arts and the San Alejandro Academy of Art. After graduating, she professionally restored and conserved pictorial artworks for the historical museum of Havanna. The work experience she gained while working for the museum later turned out to be very helpful for her to successfully immerse into the art market with her own pieces. Since then, she has participated in several art exhibitions around the world. Today, her artworks are part of multiple private collections in Germany, Mexico and India, among other countries.

The paintings of Analvis always show human figures, deformed and alienated from their original shape. Analvis creates tumultuous images with various techniques and materi- als, such as acrylic, oil, graphics and Parch-work. A trained eye can also witness the transcultural character of her artworks with influences from Hispanic, indigenous and Afro-American cultures, and that her personal interpretation of Afro-Cuban legends are represented on her canvases. She sees herself as an artist who is not interested in boundaries, but in the hallucinatory and the synthesis of the grotesque.

Furthermore, Analvis recently published her new artist catalogue. On 12 pages, the ar- tist offers readers a unique insight into her artistic work. The catalogue is available at https://artbox-publish.myshopify.com/products/analvis?_pos=1&_sid=6f01a7fdb&_ss=r

All art lovers who would like to see her artwork at the Art Basel Art Week are cordially invited to visit the Eduardo Lira Art Gallery on 2nd Avenue in Wynwood, Miami. Analvis explains her artwork as follows: "This work is a tribute to the analyst Irving Vladimir Aguilar Saravia who stated: Any culture that does not have a strong base does not last forever."
