Telenor posts revenue rise of 14.9 per cent for 2004
Fourth quarter net income losses due to Danish and Swedish operations

Norwegian telecoms giant Telenor http://www.telenor.no has posted a 14.9 year-on-year rise in revenue for 2004 to 60.8 billion Norwegian Kroner (7.3 billion euros). Net income for 2004 increased by 14.6 per cent to 5.2 billion Norwegian Kroner (621.8 million euros). "We have seen a record-high customer growth in several markets, which provides us with a good vantage point for future profit development," said Jon Fredrik Baksaas, president and CEO of Telenor.
