American software company Seven http://www.seven.com has signed a deal to buy Finnish software rival Smartner Information Systems http://www.smartner.com in an attempt to boost the companies' sales of wireless E-Mail products. As the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) http://www.wsj.com reports, both companies provide software that allows mobile phones to send and receive E-Mail wirelessly. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
