Issuing House FIDURA and Alexander Dubcek University concluded a Cooperation Agreement

Intensifying the colaboration of 2003

Munich (pts013/05.07.2007/10:05) The Issuing House FIDURA Capital Consult and the Alexander Dubcek University of Trencin, Slovak Republic, will intensify their colaboration by the industrial use of research results, above all in the areas of Industry Technologies and Mechatronic. The Basic Contract was signed last week.

Both contract partners are continuing with their colaboration, which originated within the mutual 'Feasibility Study' in 2003 for the client DaimlerChryslerVenture. Against the background of a strong presence of the automotive industry, in the Slovak Republic (VW, Porsche, Kia, Peugeot), and the strong industry-related research at Slovak universities, the cooperation contract is not limited to the awarding of pure research. Moreover it is intended among the parties that there will be a permanent, mutual 'know-how-transfer' regarding new technological trends and their industrial use.

"The industry-related experience of the university, the founding of which was motivated by the strong local industry with its focus on the areas of electrical and mechanical engineering, enables our portfolio companies in a timely manner to produce prototypes and achieve serial processing", said Klaus Ragotzky, Managing Director of FIDURA Capital Consult and Fund Manager of the FIDURA Private Equity Funds.

The engineer Ruzena Wagnerova of the Alexander Dubcek University of Trencin explains: "The collaboration with the German Private Equity investors such as FIDURA enables our young university to be in more intensive contact with innovative foreign companies. Ultimately this is, for us, the next contribution with our research to the competitive strength of the European Union in the sense of the Lisbon-Agenda."
