Henrik Saar - The former winner of the WAF World Art Expo in Las Vegas 2009 enriches the SWISSARTEXPO with his artworks

From 20 - 24 August 2020 in the SBB event hall at Zurich Main Station

Zurich (ptp027/18.08.2020/16:00) The highly awarded international artist Henrik Saar announces today that a selection of his artworks will be digitally represented at the SWISSARTEXPO as part of ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 2.0 from 20 - 24 August 2020 at Zurich Main Station. His recently published art catalogue will also be available to visitors on site. The SWISSARTEXPO is an art festival where artists of all genres come together in a diverse and colourful exhibition in one of the most visited halls in Europe in the heart of Zurich.

The talented painter and poet Henrik Saar was born in 1967 in Denmark, where he still lives and works today. He sees himself as a lifelong artist: From the very beginning he has expressed himself in sketches and poems, which he transformed over the years, under extensive self-study and with unbroken passion, into multi-layered masterpieces. Under the motto "I am what I do and I do what I am", the studied art and religion teacher has devoted himself fully to his career as an artist since 1989 and celebrated the opening of his very first exhibition in 1993 at Art association Ordrupgaard in Ballerup, Denmark.

In 2009 he made the step to becoming an internationally awarded master artist when he was named the winner of the WAF World Art Expo in Las Vegas. Since then he has enriched numerous exhibitions and art fairs with his outstanding oil paintings and sketches, including the X Florence Biennial in 2015 and the 58th Venice Biennial in 2019, which took place in the Zenobio Palace. In 2019 he was also honored as the winner of the category "Best Painter" of the 42nd Medusa Aurea Contest at the International Academy Of Modern Art in Rome. This August he received the "Artist of the year 2020" award.

Thanks to his undiminished devotion to art and painting, his works have steadily gained in depth and brilliance. The world around the millennial is still in a constant process of transformation. Thus the sources of inspiration for Henrik Saar are inexhaustible and will remain to float. The world will always need new mages to take on the challenges of transition, and Henrik Saar does so by delving deeper into his art and transferring his innermost thoughts to the canvas.

Henrik Saar will present a selection of seven oil paintings digitally as part of ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 2.0 from 20 - 24 August 2020 in the venerable hall of the main station of the Swiss culture metropolis of Zurich. The ARTBOX.PROJECT will be part of the art festival SWISSARTEXPO, which takes place annually at Zurich Main Station and offers artists from all over the world the opportunity to present their art to a wide and lively audience.

The recently published art catalogue of Henrik Saar will also be available during the art festival to give visitors an even deeper insight into his impressive repertoire.
