Dutch telecom company Versatel on brink of sale
Tele2 expected to buy for around 1.3 billion euros

The Dutch telecoms company Versatel http://www.versatel.nl is on the brink of being sold. As the German newspaper the "Welt" http://www.welt.de reports today, Tuesday, the Swedish provider Tele2, the Scandinavian telecoms company Telia and the Spanish Telefonica are all reported to be interested in buying Versatel. Media mogul John de Mol, who recently raised his stake in Versatel from ten to 25 per cent, is also said to have expressed interest.
