Chip association sharply lowers prognosis
Branch remains optimistic in the middle term

The US Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) http://www.semichips.org has drastically revised its original prognosis for chip sales during the current year. SIA now 'only' expects growth of 10.1 per cent to 154.9bn dollars.
