The year 2002 proved to be the worst year in the history of the IT branch. Market analysts Gartner http://www.gartner.com reported in their recent study that the worldwide IT-market turnover decreased by 0.6 per cent to US$536b. The number one position is held by IBM, which managed to keep its position with a takeover of PwC Consulting.
