Masterflex SE: Masterflex SE completes acquisition of fluoropolymer specialist APT GmbH

Gelsenkirchen (pta017/04.01.2017/14:00 UTC+1) The Masterflex Group completed the acquisition of all shares in fluoropolymer specialist APT Advanced Polymer Tubing GmbH today. The transaction, which was signed on 22 December 2016, was therefore closed as planned. The purchase price is in the high seven figures. APT will be fully consolidated in the Masterflex Group starting January 2017. The purchase was financed by the acquisition facility of the banking syndicate that has supported the Masterflex Group for a number of years now.

New subsidiary APT specialises in the field of high-tech plastics such as PTFE and other fully fluorinated and partially fluorinated polymers. By bringing in this material and processing expertise, the Masterflex Group expands its product portfolio with further highly interesting plastics for technically sophisticated connection solutions. The two former shareholders of APT received appropriately designed managing director contracts. The first joint market development projects are to start shortly.

The CEO of the Masterflex Group, Dr Andreas Bastin, said: "Thanks to good preparation, we were able to complete the transaction according to plan. We are delighted to welcome our new subsidiary within Masterflex Group, which will help us take a bigger step towards fulfilling our growth goals through internationalisation and innovation. It is essential that we take the next steps and make use of our new market potential; I am certain that we will also be able to generate synergy effects in the medium term."
