Masterflex SE: Novoplast Schlauchtechnik wins major contract for pneumatic hoses

Gelsenkirchen (pta019/30.03.2016/10:30 UTC+2) Novoplast Schlauchtechnik, a brand company in the Masterflex Group, has secured a major contract for pneumatic hoses from the automotive industry. The contract will run for three years and in the first year will amount to a total of around Eur 350,000.

From as early as the start of April, the first components will be delivered to three of the customer's manufacturing sites in Germany, the Czech Republic and Turkey. The products are installed in seats of utility vehicles such as agricultural and construction machines, fork lift trucks, lorries, buses and trains.

"For some time now we have had the necessary experience in relation to the materials being used and the corresponding hose sizes for this sort of application", said Dr. Andreas Bastin, Chairman of the Masterflex Group. "All the more reason to celebrate landing this order from one of the leading seat and seat system manufacturers in the world".

The pneumatic hoses in the form of reel-based and shaped hoses are used in driver and passenger seats for commercial vehicles such as lorries, buses, trains and tractors - which by means of air suspension are ergonomic, user-friendly, comfortable and safe.

The Masterflex Group is the listed specialist for the development and manufacture of sophisticated connection hose systems. Five specialist brands combine within the Masterflex Group stable to offer the widest range of connection solutions: alongside Masterflex there are Matzen & Timm, Novoplast Schlauchtechnik, Fleima-Plastic and Masterduct. With twelve operating units in Europe, America and Asia the Masterflex Group is present almost at worldwide level.
