UBM Development AG: UBM successfully places new Green Bond with a total volume of € 58 million
Wien (pta006/22.10.2026/07:00 UTC+2)
- High exchange take-up of 36% reduces 2027 bond maturities to around € 32 million – no further bond redemptions due until October 2029
- € 40 million in new capital raised – cash subscription closed early
- Total volume achieved underlines the attractiveness of UBM bonds on the capital market
Vienna, 22 October 2026 – With the successful placement of the UBM Green Bond 2026-2031 (ISIN: AT0000A3XJY7), UBM underlines that it continues to be seen as a reliable issuer, even in a bond market environment characterised by increased volatility.
As part of the exchange offer, around € 18 million in nominal value, or 36%, of the UBM Green Bond 2023-2027 was exchanged into the new UBM Green Bond 2026. As a result, only bonds with a total nominal value of € 32 million remain due for repayment in 2027. In addition, € 40 million in nominal value of new capital was raised through the cash subscription. This capital will be used to refinance eligible projects; the capital thereby released will be used to further expand the pipeline in the Affordable Housing segment.
Including the exchange, a total bond volume of € 58 million was thus placed on the markets.
"The capital market is and remains a key pillar of UBM's financing," confirms Patric Thate, CFO of UBM Development AG. "We are particularly pleased with the increased interest from international investors, especially from Eastern Europe, where we have made a name for ourselves not only through our products but also as an issuer." Thate concludes: "Thanks to the further smoothing of our repayment profile, the next major bond repayment, with a volume of € 93 million, will not fall due until October 2029."
The UBM Green Bond 2026-2031 was offered for subscription in Austria, Germany and Luxembourg by way of a public offering subject to a prospectus and in other countries by way of a private placement. The scheduled value date is 30 October 2026. The admission of the UBM Green Bond 2026-2031 to trading on the Official Market (Corporates Prime) of the Vienna Stock Exchange and its inclusion in the Open Market segment Quotation Board of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange are intended.
