Bertrandt AG: Total revenue for Q2/H1 2025/2026 significantly below the prior year; Forecast for fiscal year 2025/2026 revised

Ehningen (pta029/27.04.2026/15:30 UTC+2)

Based on preliminary, unaudited figures, the Bertrandt Group generated total revenue of approximately EUR 223 million in the second quarter of 2025/2026 (Q2 prior year: EUR 250.0 million). In the first half of 2025/2026, total revenue amounted to approximately EUR 457 million (prior year H1: EUR 516.4 million). As a result, total revenue for both the second quarter and the first half of the year was significantly* below the level of the respective prior-year period.

EBIT was negative in the second quarter of 2025/2026, amounting to approximately EUR -13 million (Q2 prior year: -12.2 million). This also results in a negative EBIT of approximately EUR -13 million for the first half of 2025/2026 (prior year H1: -14.4 million EUR). The broadly stable earnings trend—despite the significant* decline in total revenue—was supported by positive effects from the cost-cutting measures of the "Fit for Future" earnings optimization program.

While business performance in the first quarter developed as expected, the Executive Board noted today that the market recovery and improvement in capacity utilization anticipated for this fiscal year were less dynamic than expected at the end of the second quarter—despite higher order backlogs compared to the prior year. In a sector environment that remains volatile and tense—and which has recently been further exacerbated by the Iran conflict—uncertainties regarding the extent and timing of the business recovery in the second half of the year have also increased.

The Executive Board of Bertrandt AG has therefore reviewed and adjusted today the forecast for the 2025/2026 fiscal year, which was most recently published again in the report on the first quarter of the 2025/2026 fiscal year (p. 4) on February 12, 2026:

• Whereas a moderate* increase in total revenue of up to 10% (previous year: EUR 977.936 million) had previously been forecast, a moderate* decline of up to 10% compared to the previous year is now expected.

• The previous forecast of a significant* increase in EBIT (previous year: EUR -35.519 million) has been revised to reflect the fact that there is now uncertainty regarding the positive earnings level, which constitutes a downward revision of the previous forecast.

• Total revenue in the Digital Engineering (previous year: EUR 515.785 million) and Physical Engineering (previous year: EUR 208.569 million) segments is now expected to decline moderately* in each case (previously: moderate* increase). In the Electrical/Electronics segment, total revenue is now expected to be significantly* lower (previously: moderately* higher) than in the prior year (EUR 392.568 million), due in part to lower intra-group sales. Regarding EBIT, we continue to expect a significant* increase in earnings for the Digital Engineering segment (FY 2024/2025: EUR -21.151 million) and the Physical Engineering segment (FY 2024/2025: EUR -22.074 million). For the Electrical/Electronics segment (FY 2024/2025: EUR +7.706 million), we now anticipate a significant* decline in EBIT (previously: significant* increase)

• The forecast for cash flow from operating activities (significant* increase) is confirmed.

The 2025/2026 Half-Year Report, which also includes information on the second quarter, will be published on May 13, 2026, as planned.
