In collaboration with lodgyslife AG, First Camp acquires Insel Camping Borkum in the North Sea as a flagship property, continuing its expansion in the German camping market.
Frankfurt am Main, July 14, 2026 – Within the strategic partnership between lodgyslife AG (WKN: A2LQ71, ISIN: DE000A2LQ710) and First Camp Group, the successful acquisition of Insel Camping Borkum is announced. With this renowned campsite on the North Sea coast, the First Camp portfolio grows to 92 locations, nine of which are located in Germany.
With Insel Camping Borkum, the First Camp Group secures its first location on the popular North Sea coast. The largest of the East Frisian Islands delights visitors with approximately 26 kilometres of sandy beaches, an extensive dune landscape, and its unique location at the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea. As a recognized North Sea health resort with its bracing high-sea climate, Borkum has been one of Germany's most popular holiday islands for decades, standing for nature-oriented relaxation, "deceleration," and sustainable tourism.
The seasonally operated campsite is located in the immediate vicinity of the town centre and the beach, providing ideal conditions for a relaxed island holiday.
