Telenor launches 3G services
New network to cover 132 cities by 2005

Norwegian telecom company Telenor http://www.telenor.com has launched its UMTS (universal mobile telecommunications system) mobile network for commercial use. The network will give access to third generation (3G) mobile services such as video calls and mobile TV.
