Software Development Village at Ifabo 2000

LogOn Technology Transfer, together with Messe Wien, is proud to announce the "Software Development Village", a new pavilion at the Ifabo Trade Show, taking place April 12-15, 2000 at the Vienna Fairgrounds.With the Software Development Village, organized by LogOn, Ifabo offers for the first time an exclusive Business-to-Business section that combines the most important areas of software development under one roof: Java,Linux, Objects and Web Technologies.
For the leading providers of products and services in the fields of Java, Linux, Objects and Web Technologies the Software Development Village is the place where they can meet the software developer community in Austria.
A highlight within the Software Development Village will be the announcement
of the winners and finalists of the 7th Object Application Awards.
The Object Application Awards is a program designed to honor successful object-oriented custom applications. Dr. Richard Soley, Chairman of the Object Management Group, will be the master of ceremony.

Award winners and finalists in the 1999 program included among others:
ASCOM Autelca, The European Space Agency (ESOC), GMD Fokus, Hitachi
Ltd., SGZ Bank and TLC Transport Logistik (a Deutsche Bahn company).
An international panel of judges, chaired by Professor Roberto Zicari at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt/Main and LogOn, will select the winners and finalists.
