QLUPOD AG: Qlupod signs distribution agreement with VITEX Group LLC in Kosovo

Strategic partnership expands Qlupod's presence in Southeastern Europe and targets the integration of connected health monitoring into insurance and healthcare services
Qlupod AG, a Swiss digital health company developing an integrated ecosystem for connected health and remote monitoring, announces the signing of a distribution agreement with VITEX Group LLC for Kosovo. Through this partnership, Qlupod is further expanding its presence in the Western Balkans and creating the foundation for the commercial introduction of QluPod and the wider Qlupod digital health ecosystem in the Kosovo market.
Following initial meetings with Qlupod in Pristina, VITEX Group LLC has already begun actively developing the market. The company has initiated discussions with a number of stakeholders in the Kosovo healthcare sector, including health and life insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and private hospitals.
Among the organisations approached are several established insurance providers in Kosovo. According to VITEX Group LLC, the initial discussions have generated concrete interest in evaluating QluPod, its technology and the digital services connected to the device.
The next phase will therefore focus not only on the commercial distribution of QluPod, but also on demonstrating the solution to potential institutional partners and evaluating how connected health monitoring could be integrated into existing healthcare and insurance models.
According to information gathered by VITEX Group LLC during its initial market discussions, more than 100,000 people in Kosovo currently have health insurance coverage. The partners therefore see significant potential for digital health solutions that can complement existing healthcare services and enable new models of prevention, monitoring and patient care.

Digitalisation creates new opportunities for healthcare systems
Qlupod sees developments in Kosovo as part of a broader transformation taking place across Southeastern Europe and other emerging healthcare markets.
Many countries are facing the challenge of improving access to healthcare while simultaneously dealing with limited healthcare resources, rising costs, demographic change and a growing need for continuous monitoring, particularly for people living with chronic conditions.
Digitalisation can play an important role in addressing these challenges.
The European Union is actively supporting the digital transformation of healthcare. Through programmes including EU4Health, Digital Europe and Horizon Europe, the EU is investing in digital health infrastructure, health data, digital tools and services and more connected healthcare systems. The EU4Health programme specifically identifies the digital transformation of healthcare and improved access to healthcare as strategic objectives.
The European Commission has also identified digitalisation, including eHealth, as an important reform priority for the Western Balkans.
Qlupod believes that countries which are currently developing or modernising their healthcare structures have an opportunity to integrate digital healthcare solutions at an early stage and thereby complement traditional healthcare infrastructure with connected and remote models of care.
This is where Qlupod's strategy goes beyond the distribution of a medical device.
