Majority of UK Internet users have broadband

Over 50 per cent of UK Internet users now use broadband at home, according to the latest research. As the Media Guardian http://www.mediaguardian.co.uk reports, 11.5 million people that surf the Internet in the UK now have a broadband connection, a 117 per cent increase from the 5.3 million last year. According to the results published by Nielsen//Netratings http://www.nielsen-netratings.com , this means that more than half of the UK's online population of 22.8 million now have access to broadband Internet.
