Germany Federal Institute confirms safety of Injection Lipolysis

EU: For months the relatively new method of injection lipolysis has been accused by certain institutions and physicians of being unproven and unsafe. Thereby thousands of patients who underwent this procedure as well as those interested in the new method have been deeply disturbed.

Now the German Federal Institute for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products has put an end to this. In a written statement the institute declared that in studies no teratogenic or genotoxic effects of phosphatidylcholine have been shown.

Meanwhile the German Association of Plastic Surgeons has agreed officially, not to repeat any statements of this kind, neither in written nor in spoken word. Those interested in the new method can now choose to undergo the procedure without being scared by unproven and false accusations, provided that the method is performed by a skilled and well trained physician. The safety of the method has also been
proven by more than 2.000 patients who already underwent injection lipolysis in the EU.
