Video and satellite technology that has been developed in Graz is being used to transmit live television reports from the war in Iraq around the world. The Scotty Tele-Transport Corporation Radio and Videoelectronic AG company http://www.scotty.at , which was founded near Graz in 1998, has developed the mobile video communications technology which is currently being used by TV news stations such as the Arabian Al-Jazeera http://english.aljazeera.net to give live coverage of the Iraq war, according to Kurt Kerschat, the chairman of the board.
