POLYTEC HOLDING AG: Strategic diversification is becoming increasingly important

Hörsching (pta028/29.10.2026/14:11 UTC+1)

+Adjustment of earnings forecast for 2026 due to revenue adjustments and aftermath of portfolio adjustments

+ Improved profitability in the first half of the year

+ Expansion of the non-automotive business as a growth driver

.
The POLYTEC GROUP is adjusting its earnings forecast for the 2026 financial year. Based on the current business development and the updated planning for the fourth quarter, the management expects an EBIT margin of between 1% and 2% compared to the previously forecast margin of around 3%. Full-year sales are expected at the lower end of the forecast at around EUR 560 million. The decisive factor for this adjustment is in particular short-term revenue adjustments by major customers for the fourth quarter. In addition, operational impact of the portfolio adjustments made is having a temporary effect, which is due in particular to the closure of the Weierbach plant.

"This development reaffirms, once again, that we are on the right track in our efforts to further reduce our exposure to short-term fluctuations and structural challenges through the targeted expansion into additional business areas," said Markus Huemer, CEO of the POLYTEC GROUP, commenting on the revised forecast.

.
Operational improvements are having an impact

The POLYTEC GROUP was able to significantly increase its profitability in the first half of 2026 - despite a 19.6% decline in consolidated sales revenues. EBIT rose by 47.7% to EUR 8.3 million, and the EBIT margin increased from 1.6% to 2.9%. The positive earnings development to date underlines the progress made in optimising production and cost structures. The measures implemented in recent years to adapt the production network and increase efficiency have sustainably strengthened the Group's operating base.

However, the current forecast adjustment also shows that earnings will continue to be significantly influenced by the composition of call-offs and the product mix.

.
Non-automotive as a strategic growth driver

Against this background, the expansion of the business areas in the direction of non-automotive, which has already been initiated, is becoming even more important. The aim of the POLYTEC GROUP is to tap into additional sales and earnings potential that are independent of the automotive market and thus to increase the resilience of the business model to short-term market fluctuations in the long term.

POLYTEC is on the right track in implementing this strategy. A promising project pipeline is developing, especially in the field of Smart Plastic Applications, with applications in reusable, construction and industrial logistics. Several projects have recently reached important development steps and are increasingly moving towards industrial implementation.

The POLYTEC GROUP is pursuing the goal of increasing the share of sales accounted for by the non-automotive business to around 30% of Group sales within the next two to three years.

With the development of additional markets and a broader customer and product base, industry-specific fluctuations are to be better cushioned in the future and the conditions for a more stable earnings development are to be created.

.
The interim report for the first three quarters will be published on 12 November 2026.
