Frequentis AG: Strong growth in revenues, earnings, and jobs

Vienna, Austria (pta016/09.04.2026/11:13 UTC+2)

  • 200 new jobs
  • Revenues +20.8% to EUR 580.1 million
  • Order intake +16.5% to EUR 680.2 million
  • EBIT +45.7% to EUR 46.8 million; EBIT margin 8.1%
  • Proposal to increase the dividend again by 11.1% to EUR 0.30

Frequentis, the world's leading provider of safety-critical applications for control centres, posted double-digit growth in 2025 for the fifth consecutive year. Revenues increased by 20.8% to EUR 580.1 million, EBIT was almost 50% higher at EUR 46.8 million, and the EBIT margin was 8.1%. Order intake rose by 16.5% or almost EUR 100 million to EUR 680.2 million. Demand remains high: The value of orders on hand was again almost a third higher than in the previous year at nearly EUR 800 million (EUR 794.9 million). In view of this high-capacity utilisation, the global headcount was increased by more than 200.

"Our growth and profitability show that our business model is sustainable – especially in challenging times. They reflect our innovative strength and clear focus on operators of control centres in the safety-critical sector," says Frequentis' CEO Norbert Haslacher. "Above all, they are due to the exceptional commitment of our roughly 2,600 employees worldwide. We thank them for that, and our customers, partners, and investors for their trust."

For a safer world: networked safety & security and intelligent systems

In our increasingly unstable world, systems that work reliably in challenging conditions are becoming more important. Frequentis is a world leader in such systems, plays a central role in structuring global safety and security infrastructures, and is involved in shaping the general framework and tomorrow's solutions. "We are not passengers: our place is in the cockpit. Our route comprises open standards and genuine interoperability, so that organisations can work together across systems and borders," says Frequentis' CEO Norbert Haslacher. There are currently three major growth topics with potential:

Mission-critical services (MCX) are a quantum leap forward in safety-critical communication for organisations such as the police, fire service, emergency rescue services, and public transport. Technologies such as TETRA and GSM-R no longer meet current requirements. MCX uses 5G-based networks, enabling real-time transmission of voice, data, and video across national and organisational boundaries via a single standard. Frequentis is already involved in widespread implementation, for example, the rollout of MCX for around 300,000 emergency responders in the UK.

Increasing drone traffic is fundamentally changing airspace and places new demands on safety, security, and coordination. In Europe alone, it is estimated that the drone ecosystem will be worth more than EUR 10 billion by 2030. Frequentis supplies solutions for secure monitoring and management of drones via a combination of conventional radar systems and intelligent sensor and recognition technologies. Through the integration of safety-critical data and the interaction of drone traffic management, air traffic management, and control centre systems, Frequentis is strengthening its position in the management of low-altitude airspace and the protection of critical infrastructure.

The remote digital tower enables remote monitoring of take-off and landing of aircraft and taxiing at airports with the aid of cameras and sensors – for both civil and military users. Airport operators benefit from central management of several airports, which also alleviates the shortage of air traffic controllers in remote areas. This technology has already been used for a number of years in Germany, the UK, and Brazil.

Proposal to raise the dividend again, increase in equity
The profit for 2025 was EUR 33.7 million and earnings per share were EUR 2.13.
This year, Frequentis is proposing a renewed rise in the dividend to EUR 0.30 (+11.1%). Equity rose to EUR 196.8 million, the equity ratio was 38.6%, and the net cash position was EUR 104.7 million.
