Frequentis AG: FREQUENTIS to deploy aviation message handling solution across India in one of the world's largest ever setups

Vienna / Austria (pta011/13.03.2024/10:01 UTC+1)

  • Frequentis to revolutionise aeronautical message handling system (AMHS) for Airports Authority of India (AAI)
  • The AMHS replacement at two main centres in Mumbai and New Delhi stands out for its unmatched performance and resilience
  • Over 60 sites and 200 user terminals make it one of the largest AMHS deployment for one single customer worldwide

This remarkable project highlights a series of cutting-edge features, particularly focusing on an enhanced dynamic database system, expanded access points for user terminals, and improved performance and resilience. With over 60 sites across remote locations and approximately 200 user terminals, this project will provide increased performance and unmatched resilience, as well as being one of the largest deployed installations for a single customer worldwide, marking a global AMHS milestone.

This project showcases Frequentis' capabilities to combine expertise in aviation systems, along with the proficiency in project delivery and local support from partners. In India, Frequentis and Frequentis' Indian/Canadian partner Grintex have developed a unique mobile application to create a seamless, stand-alone device for flight planning. The app's user-friendly interface will ensure a seamless transition for pilots, airlines, and other airspace users already familiar with traditional user terminals, minimising training requirements and maximising productivity.

The Indian aviation industry's potential is immense, with rapid passenger growth and increasing air traffic demands. Frequentis aims to cater to this exponential growth by introducing its state-of-the-art air traffic management solutions.

"We are excited to collaborate with Indian partners and contribute to the nation's vision for a robust and self-sufficient aviation ecosystem. Frequentis is committed to leveraging its expertise and innovation to support India's journey towards a safer, more efficient, and technologically advanced airspace," states Constantin von Reden, Managing Director Frequentis Comsoft and member of the ATM Executive Board.
