United Labels AG (ISIN: DE 0005489561, WKN: 548956) saw following the preliminary figures Group revenue rose significantly by 24% to €22.3 million in the 2022 financial year just ended. Revenue growth was driven by more expansive sales in the Key Account segment, which grew by 22%. The Special Retail segment was up by 37%, driven by a growth of the E-Commerce by 40%.
Despite adverse effects relating to the supply chain as a whole and high freight costs for the procurement of goods, the Group's gross profit margin rose to 28.6% (prev. year: 24.6%). In total, consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) amounted significantly to €1.1 million (prev. year: €0.3 million), EBIT was up to €0.8 million (prev. year: €0.1 million) and the profit for the year rose to €0.4 million (prev. year: €-0.2 million).
Once again, all operating companies within the Group recorded a profit in the 2022 financial year.
The order backlog as at 31 December 2022 stood at €14.0 million (prev. year: €17.0 million).
The entire financial year just ended was dominated by considerable supply-, retailer- and consumer-side uncertainties. They were overcome only by rigorous and flexible management. Against this background, the management considers the direction taken by revenue, earnings and orders at United Labels AG to be very favourable.
The company's plans for the current 2023 financial year include an expansion of its Key Account business, its brand portfolio and its end consumer business, particularly within the area of online trading. At present, the company anticipates an increase in revenue and operating profit for the current financial year.
