Südzucker AG: Südzucker again significantly raises group operating result forecast for the current 2022/23 financial year

Mannheim (pta036/14.02.2023/16:30 UTC+1)

Südzucker AG is again significantly raising its forecast for group operating result for the 2022/23 financial year (1 March 2022 to 28 February 2023), which was last raised on 2 November 2022, after the fourth quarter has so far developed better than expected.

Südzucker continues to expect a significant increase in group revenues to around EUR 9.5 (previous forecast: 9.7 to 10.1; 2021/22: 7.6) billion. Group EBITDA and group operating result are also expected to increase significantly from the prior-year level. Group EBITDA is now expected to be in a range between EUR 1,000 and 1,040 (previous forecast 890 to 990; 2021/22: 692) million and group operating result in a range between EUR 640 and 680 (previous forecast 530 to 630; 2021/22: 332) million. The improvement in group EBITDA and group operating result compared to the forecast of 2 November 2022 will be driven mainly by the sugar segment.

With regard to the unchanged forecast risks, Südzucker refers to the forecast report in the quarterly statement for the third quarter of fiscal 2022/23.

The annual report for fiscal 2022/23 will be published on 25 May 2023.
