Dornbirn (pta015/08.10.2021/10:00) - Dornbirn, Austria - Following its meeting held earlier today, the Supervisory Board of the Zumtobel Group announced that the current mandate of the Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alfred Felder, which expires on 30 April 2022, will be extended for a further three-year period until 31 July 2025. This measure reflects the Supervisory Board's ongoing emphasis on continuity and is also an acknowledgement of the successful repositioning of the company since 2018.
Since assuming the position of CEO in 2018, Alfred Felder has worked closely with the other Executive Board members to get the Zumtobel Group back on track and achieve profitability despite the challenging time marked by the corona pandemic. Furthermore, he substantially drove the development of the Zumtobel Group's business strategy in order to leverage new growth potential. Under the keyword "FOCUSED", the new key topics of "digitalisation" and "sustainability" were also embedded in the strategy.

About Alfred Felder
Alfred Felder (58) joined the Zumtobel Group in November 2012 and was initially responsible for the components business as CEO of Tridonic. In April 2016, Alfred Felder was appointed to the Zumtobel Group's Executive Board as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He assumed the position of Chairman of the Executive Board effective 1 February 2018 and was appointed to serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) starting in June 2018.
Felder holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and previously held a wide range of specialist and management roles with the Siemens Group and Osram, its former lighting segment. In the course of his career, Alfred Felder was deployed abroad for longer assignments in Japan, the U.S. and China. From 2007 to 2012, his professional activities focused on the sale of semiconductors and luminaires, primarily in Asia.
