Enapter AG: Enapter Awarded as World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer

Company recognised as shaper of green hydrogen industry

Berlin (pta028/15.06.2021/16:16 UTC+2) Enapter AG (ISIN: DE000A255G02), the producer of breakthrough AEM electrolysers, has been selected from amongst hundreds of candidates as one of the World Economic Forum's "Technology Pioneers". The Technology Pioneers are early to growth-stage companies from around the world which are involved in the use of new technologies and innovation that are poised to have a significant impact on business and society.

The announcement comes as Enapter prepares for the autumn construction start of mass-production facilities in Saerbeck, Germany - which will scale up the rollout of its modular hydrogen generators for replacing fossil fuels. The green hydrogen tech company joins other pioneers from fields like AI, IoT, robotics, blockchain, biotechnology and many more.

"We're excited to welcome Enapter to our 2021 cohort of Technology Pioneers," says Susan Nesbitt, Head of the Global Innovators Community, World Economic Forum. "Enapter and its fellow pioneers are developing technologies that can help society solve some of its most pressing issues. We look forward to their contribution to the World Economic Forum in its commitment to improving the state of the world."

As a Technology Pioneer, Enapter can participate in World Economic Forum activities, events and discussions throughout 2021, as well as contribute to Forum initiatives over the next two years, working with global leaders to help address key industry and societal issues.

"We're very pleased to be counted among the World Economic Forum's Technology Pioneers," says Sebastian-Justus Schmidt, Chairman of Enapter AG. "Our patented Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Electrolysers have the potential to make the lowest cost hydrogen once mass produced - and we can have even more impact in cutting fossil fuel emissions and flipping global warming as part of this global community for change."

Enapter was selected based on criteria including innovation, impact and leadership, as well as the company's relevance with the World Economic Forum's problem-solving Platforms.
