aescuvest international GmbH: BOCAhealthcare and Surge-on Medical receive awards for "Most innovative products"

Renowned award goes to two companies with ongoing financing rounds on aescuvest

Frankfurt/Munich (pta020/18.09.2019/12:28 UTC+2) Every year in September, the pharmaceutical and medical industry turn all eyes on Munich. Then the awards "The Golden Pill" and "The Most Innovative Product", also known as Pharma Oscars, are presented in the Deutsches Museum. This year, BOCAhealthcare and Surge-on Medical took first and second place in the "Startups" category.

Via the platforms that are exclusively geared to healthcare companies, also private investors can participate in start-ups from the most innovative and economically significant sector in Europe. To increase security for investors, an advisory board at aescuvest reviews the plausibility and innovativeness of each submitted project.

BOCAhealthcare has developed a portable body composition analyzer device connected to a smartphone application. The system can to easily monitor patients' hydration and nutritional status, as well as heart rate volume and systemic vascular resistance. The Berlin-based company with Italian roots is currently running an equity crowdfunding campaign on aescuvest.de.

Surge-on Medical is developing and selling fully steerable, quick detachable and easy to clean instruments for minimally invasive arthroscopy and laparoscopy. In addition, the Dutch MedTech start-up aims to develop the future of remote-controlled robotics in precision surgery. The modular and reusable instruments are ready to be connected to robots. Via aescuvest.eu the company now intends to raise at least Eur 3 million by ways of a prospectus-based security offering.

Since the year 2000 the most innovative and sustainable companies in the "Rx" category have been honoured annually, and since 2018 in the categories "OTC", "Orphan Drugs" and "Startups", in 2019 the category "Specialty Care" has been added. The decision is based on the Pharma Trend survey, which is conducted among doctors, pharmacists and patients. In the "Startups" category, the winners are determined by a jury of 10 experts with many years of experience in biotechnology, medical technology, M&A and management, as well as in medicine and marketing of pharmaceuticals.

The event of Eurecon Media Group is under the patronage of the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care.
