Universal Outdoor Group Plc: Announces profit for the financial year

UNAUDITED YEAR END RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2015

London (pta016/18.08.2015/12:30 UTC+2) The Universal Outdoor Group Plc board announces the Group's unaudited results for the financial year ended 30th June 2015. In light of the significant turnaround in the business and to ensure the timely release of information in the public domain the board has decided to release the top line unaudited results. The audit is underway and the Directors believe that the results will be in line with the following financials.

KEY POINTS

* Group turnover up to £6,511,937 (2014: £2,859,758k)
* Group delivers first annual profit of £1,357,908 from continuing operations (2014: £1,117,125 loss)
* Gross profit up to £4,038,142 (2014: £886,834)

Chairman and CEO Dominic Brookman commented "2015 has been a significant turning point in the company's fortunes. Having spent some time developing the media assets, the management team has successfully navigated through the initial difficulties of the reverse take-over, and is now very confident that Universal Outdoor will continue to grow at a steady rate."

Universal Outdoor Group Plc's full Annual Report and Accounts for the year to 30th June 2014 will be available prior to the filing deadline of the 31st December 2015.

OUTLOOK and STRATEGY

Universal Outdoor now sells advertising across more than 10,000 advertising displays in the UK. Universal Outdoor is also well placed to expand into the German out-of-home advertising market, from where the board believes we can add significant income.

Further developments include online and mobile based advertising solutions, and advertising sales on a voucher coupon platform.
The company appointed a new Managing Director for its advertising sales division and a new Group Finance Director during the period.
The group strategy is now firmly set on growing the out-of-home advertising sales division, along with online and mobile developments, both in the UK and Germany.

Growth will be based on a mixture of organic sales increases and acquisitions.
