VIB Vermögen AG acquires retail property in Nördlingen

Neuburg/Danube (pta008/28.02.2014/07:30 UTC+1) February 28, 2014 - VIB Vermögen AG, a company specialising in commercial real estate portfolio management, has acquired a modern retail property in Nördlingen: "We founded VIB Vermögen AG around 20 years ago with the purchase of an industrial property in Neuburg/Danube. With the acquisition of our second retail property this year, we have now reached the 100 properties mark in our portfolio," is how Peter Schropp, Managing Board member responsible for real estate at VIB Vermögen AG, expressed his satisfaction.

Boasting favourable transportation connections, the property in Nördlingen comprises a rentable space of 8,580 m2, and is rented to BayWa Bau- und Gartenmärkte GmbH & Co. KG for more than 14 years. It was completed in 2013 and comprises an investment volume of EUR 9.1 million, on which it generates an attractive 7.2 percent rental yield. As with past investments, this purchase was also partly debt and partly equity financed, including the issue proceeds from the mandatory convertible bond.

"In addition to our own developments, with this new acquisition we are also focusing on targeted individual investments in our focal sectors of logistics and retail. The robust and sustainable financing of our entire portfolio forms a further pillar of our corporate performance and profitability," notes Holger Pilgenröther, CFO of VIB Vermögen AG, by way of explaining the secret of the success.
