S&T System Integration & Technology Distribution AG: Decline in sales in Q3
Vienna
(pta021/21.10.2011/19:15 UTC+2)
In the third quarter of 2011 the consolidated revenue reached EUR 60.3 million, short of original expectations. In comparison to previous year's Q3 results (EUR 75.6 million) this yields in a deviation of -20.2%. For the period January to September 2011, net sales amount to 191.6 million, representing a decrease of 15.6% over the same period last year. The main reasons for these differences lie in the more adverse economic conditions, particularly in the government sector and in infrastructure business, here especially in Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia and Bulgaria.
Despite the implementation of profound cost-side measures the impact of the revenue decline could not be compensated, the quarter will be completed with a negative operative result. Contributing to this are ongoing restructuring and consulting costs. For the company's liquidity, this development means that the planned capital measures will be even more significant. The investor participation is expected to build the basis for taking advantage of a traditionally stronger sales performance in Q4.
