Südzucker AG: Südzucker with first forecast for the financial year 2026/27

Mannheim (pta033/16.12.2025/18:15 UTC+1)

Südzucker AG expects a slight decrease in group revenues in its initial forecast for the financial year 2026/27 (1 March 2026 to 28 February 2027). Regarding the group EBITDA, we expect a moderately increased range between EUR 480 and 680 million compared to the previous year. This forecast is generally based on the assumptions that sugar market conditions continue to be highly challenging and that no significant earnings recovery in the sugar segment is expected. Significant improvements in earnings are anticipated in the CropEnergies segment, driven by higher premiums for ethanol sales and lower net raw material expenses, as well as in the special products segment, supported by increasing sales volumes.

At the same time, Südzucker confirms the group forecast for financial year 2025/26 (1 March 2025 to 28 February 2026), which was published on 21 August 2025. Südzucker expects consolidated group revenues of EUR 8.3 to 8.7 (2024/25: 9.7) billion. Group EBITDA is projected to range between EUR 470 und 570 (2024/25: 723) million and group operating result is anticipated to fall within the range of EUR 100 and 200 (2024/25: 350) million. Against this background, the forecast of a significant increase in group EBITDA and group operating result in the third quarter of the current financial year 2025/26 versus the third quarter of the financial year 2024/25, published on 14 October 2025, is also confirmed.

The quarterly report for the third quarter of the financial year 2025/26 will be published on 13 January 2026.

With respect to the forecast for the financial years 2025/26 and 2026/27, it is important to note that the future business performance of the Südzucker Group continues to be subject to significant uncertainties due to the ongoing geopolitical and global economic developments.
