Berlin (pts019/02.10.2013/14:30) The International Conference on Biofuels "Fuels of the Future 2014" will be held on 20 and 21 January 2014 in Berlin's ICC. Over the last 10 years, the conference has stood as a strong brand and given the industry a single voice. We were successful in establishing a biofuel platform as national flagship event with international standing and appeal. The new program with all speakers from more than 15 countries is now available on http://www.fuels-of-the-future.com

The goal and ambition is to continue the conference's success as a leading international event and to consolidate its role as a central biofuel industry platform. For this reason, the organisers have extended the consortium for the conference, which previously consisted of two organizers, namely the German BioEnergy Association (BBE) and the Union for the Promotion of Oil and Protein Plants (UFOP). For the eleventh edition of the "Fuels of the Future" conference in 2014, the list of supporters and co-organizers includes also the German Bioethanol Industry Association (BDBe), the German Biofuels Industry Association (VDB) and the German Biogas Association (FvB).

Based on this approach, all the different sectors of the biofuel industry will be actively involved in the conference's design and organisation in the future. The aim is to ensure the conference's standing as a highly attractive platform for the discussion of industry-wide concerns on all conversion paths. Continuing our successful strategy of recent years, we have strengthened our focus on parallel forums for the conference in 2014 hoping to cover every aspect of the different biofuels and all their related issues with a more targeted focus on the specific information needs.

Given the difficult market and policy environment, we are sure that the high-profile conference program with representatives from economy, politics and science will provide insights and impulses for the biodiesel, bioethanol, vegetable oil and biogas sector and contribute to supporting and consolidating the entire biofuel market. Needless to say that all participants will again find lots of opportunities for personal exchange - especially during our evening reception on the first conference day, which will flank the "nature.tec" in the scope of the International Green Week.
