Corporate news for the stock market

  • "B" rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project – highest recognition in the Small and Medium Enterprise category
  • Peach Property Group receives EPRA Sustainability Best Practices Recommendations (sBPR) Gold Award for outstanding ESG reporting for the second consecutive year
  • First-time implementation of a Double Materiality Analysis (DMA) as the foundation for the sustainability report and preparation for CSRD-compliant reporting

Peach Property Group AG ("Peach Property Group"), a property investor with an investment focus on residential real estate in Germany, has published its current Sustainability Report in accordance with international Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines and EPRA standards. The report illustrates how the company continues to advance its ESG efforts despite undergoing significant financial transformation and implementing a new portfolio strategy. There have been measurable positive developments in environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

Focus on Strong ESG Ratings

In 2024, Peach Property Group submitted a detailed questionnaire on environmental and sustainability topics to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and received a "B" rating – the best score in the small and medium-sized enterprise category. This achievement was complemented by receiving the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA) Gold Award once again – a testament to the highest transparency and quality in sustainability reporting.

Realignment of Key Sustainability Topics and CSRD Preparation

In 2024, Peach Property Group identified its key sustainability topics for the first time through a Double Materiality Analysis (DMA), thereby preparing for the requirements of the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (EU-CSRD). The identified topics (e.g., CO₂ emissions, tenant well-being, digital security) form the basis of the sustainability report and highlight the company's impact on the environment and society, as well as potential financial risks the company could face. The DMA enables Peach Property Group to assess future risks and approach sustainability initiatives in a structured way.

Decarbonization: 2030 Target Already Undercut Today

With a greenhouse gas intensity of 26.9 kg CO₂e/m² in 2023, Peach Property Group remains, for the second year in a row, below its 2030 target of 30 kg CO₂e/m². For the first time, CO₂ data was measured using the CRREM (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor) tool – a widely recognized industry standard for determining decarbonization pathways – to ensure a transparent and comparable presentation of emissions data.

Energy-Efficient Portfolio

In 2024, Peach Property Group invested over EUR 2.6 million in energy-efficient heating systems, roof renovations, and partial refurbishments. The overall portfolio's energy efficiency is already better than the German average and is expected to improve further with a continued focus on the Strategic Portfolio.

Tenant Satisfaction Through Innovation and Proximity

Tenant satisfaction remains a core priority. With 12 Peach Points on-site, digital self-service portals, and an efficient ticketing system, Peach Property Group addresses tenant concerns proactively. Although the number of incoming tickets rose by 30% in 2024, response times were significantly reduced from 90.8 to 51.5 hours. 91.2% of all requests were resolved during the first contact. A new centralized digital platform supports these improvements and facilitates quality control.

Strong Employee Focus and Diversity

During its strategic realignment, which included the sale of 5,200 residential units, the Peach Property Group placed a strong emphasis on supporting employees affected by the transaction, ensuring seamless transitions in cooperation with the new investors. With 48% of the workforce being female and equal base pay for men and women; the company actively promotes gender equality. More vacation days, flexible work models, and a modern intranet platform have enhanced internal communication and sustainably improved employee satisfaction.

Gerald Klinck, CEO/CFO and Interim Chair of the Sustainability Committee, states:

"Although 2024 was a year of transition for Peach Property Group and our employees, we demonstrated that financial transformation and ESG responsibility are not mutually exclusive. Our ESG goals are a substantial part of our business model, and the Double Materiality Analysis has helped us refine them further. The strong CDP rating and the renewed EPRA Gold Award validate our ESG efforts. We are committed to strategically integrating ESG initiatives with business success and will continue to pursue our goals in this area with determination."
