- European Excellence Award: best annual report in Europe
- AAA trend recognizes Wienerberger for the best reporting by a publicly traded company in Austria

The quality of financial communications in Austria is excellent, also in international comparison. This is illustrated, above all, by Wienerberger's annual report, which also received numerous awards this year. The company was recognized for the creative and persistent presentation of the investment story. In New York the ARC (Annual Report Competition) jury singled out the 2010 annual report as the best of its kind worldwide for "written text". Additionally, the company received two Gold Awards as the best of its branch in the categories "overall annual report" and "written text".

European Excellence Award, Amsterdam: best annual report in Europe
Wienerberger was also a winner at the European Excellence Awards in Amsterdam. At a ceremony on December 8, 2011, the company received a prize for the best annual report in Europe. This award is presented by the trade magazine "Communication Director" and is intended to recognize the best work in the European communications branch. The winners are selected from 1,300 submissions in various categories, with Wienerberger outpacing well-known companies such as AkzoNoble and RTL.

AAA trend (10/11): best reporting by a publicly traded company
In Austria, Wienerberger headed the list at the renowned AAA (Austrian Annual Report Awards) awards presented by trend magazine for the best reporting by a publicly traded corporation. AAA trend ranked Wienerberger first among the country's quoted companies, ahead of numerous Austrian business giants. Relevant for these outstanding results were top ratings for design, journalism, financial reporting, corporate governance, investment story, human resources, CSR and online reporting. Asked for the secret of this success, Barbara Braunöck, Head of Investor Relations at Wienerberger, commented: "Open and transparent communications with our stakeholders are key for Wienerberger. The challenge in producing a good report is, perfect teamwork between top management, controlling, investor relations department and the translator. Another important factor is the creative realization of the investment story to optimally place the key messages which reflects the efforts of our agency. In total I see this success as the result of perfect team work between all involved participants combined with strong support from top management. We put a lot of effort into the annual report, and I am very pleased to see this recognized by such renowned institutions."
