World Congress of Neurology to take place in Kyoto, Japan

Kyoto (ptp021/04.08.2017/10:50) The Japanese City of Kyoto will host the XXIII World Congress of Neurology (WCN 2017) this year, the world's biggest and most important neurology event. Thousands of participants from around the globe are expected to attend this major scientific meeting which will be held at the Kyoto International Conference Center from 16 to 21 September 2017. More than 300 renowned speakers from all fields of neurology will lecture on latest developments in their fields of expertise.

Rich scientific program

The timely Congress motto is "Defining the Future of Neurology". The Congress provides an impressive overview of the achievements of modern neurology, a medical discipline which will gain more importance not just in view of demographic developments. Against the background of a dramatic increase in neurological diseases on the global scale the World Congress of Neurology will feature important topics: dementia, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, headache, environmental neurology, tropical neurology, neurocritical care, neurorehabilitation, palliative care, neuroethics, as well as advances in neuroimaging.

WCN 2017 will serve as a springboard to strongly advance the Asia Initiative of the World Federation of Neurology and the world-wide advancement of neurology in both basic research and clinical practice.

WCN 2017 will bring together leading scientists, public health experts, policy-makers to translate recent momentous scientific advances into action that will address means to end the epidemic, within the current context of significant global economic challenges.
