Brazilian art at the SWISSARTEXPO

The artworks of Claudia Matoos will be presented this August at the SWISSARTEXPO

Zürich, Switzerland (ptp020/06.08.2019/14:00) Today the artist Claudia Matoos announced that several of her works will be digitally exhibited at this year's SWISSARTEXPO as part of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 1.0. The Swiss Arts Festival will take place from 15th to 19th August 2019 in Zurich's Central Station Hall. Her artistic work deals with nature, man and what he irretrievably leaves behind in nature.

Born in Brazil, she has been living in the Mediterranean region of Portugal since 2013. The landscape between the sea, mountains, pine forests, cork oaks and olive trees gives her the necessary inspiration for the creation of her profound works of art.

Claudia Matoos' creative process always begins in the interaction with the landscape and its surroundings. She lets nature affect her, interacts, intervenes and photographs. This process inspires her to draw and paint. Her works of art show a unique dialogue and discussion between man and nature. Her works reveal the absence of man, his separateness - and at the same time the feeling of the presence of contemporary man in nature through his legacies: both objects left behind and changes man has made to nature.

Claudia Matoos is also intensively involved in her concern about the devastation and burning of forests. She believes that the landscape is a living organism that is connected to all of us, and that today's man must take care of these connections and interactions with nature. It is remarkable how the artist manages to find a poetic expression for her concern and to unite it harmoniously as a whole on canvas. Every picture she creates builds a bridge to a deeper dialogue. For this reason, it is not surprising that Claudia Matoos' art and the confrontation with current social problems meet with great approval worldwide. Her works have already been shown in various national and international exhibitions.

Recently Claudia Matoos published her first artist catalogue. The catalogue will also be shown live at the SWISSARTEXPO at a prime location. If you would like to make a preview of the catalogue, you can order it at https://artbox-publish.myshopify.com/products/claudia-matoos or Amazon.
