Swiss artist Dominik Burkart presents his Africa-inspired art at the SWISSARTEXPO 2021

From 25 - 29 August 2021 at the SBB Eventhalle at Zurich Main Station

Zurich (ptp022/18.08.2021/14:00) Dominik Burkart will present a selection of his fantastic artworks in their original form for the second time as an exhibitor at the SWISSARTEXPO in the time-honored hall of Zurich's main station. The audience can expect a dream of multicultural art, which enchants with its simple execution, earthly color tones and nature-loving harmony.

The artistic work of Dominik Burkart is deeply anchored with his earliest impressions on this earth. He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of two, his family moved to Switzerland, where he grew up with a paint pen in his hand and completed an apprenticeship as a cook. After extensive travels around the globe, he now works in his own company, where he processes and refines metals in professional craftsmanship.

Today, creating art is still a constant companion in his life. He dedicates his works with heart and soul to his second home, South Africa, bringing the great biodiversity and nature-loving life to paper with brushes or palette knifes. His color scheme moves in a harmonious flow of brown, black and white, with the play of light and shadow playing as big a role as the color tone itself. The animals, which look at you wisely from the canvas, radiate a calmness and liveliness that touches you in the heart and seduces you to dream. Dominik Burkart's overall oeuvre ranges from Africa-inspired series to abstract works and a "Tour de Suisse" dedicated to Switzerland, where he deals with the characteristic features of Switzerland in numerous paintings.

The visitors of the SWISSARTEXPO 2021 can expect an excellent selection of Dominik Burkart's works, which will adorn the hall of Zurich's main train station from August 25 to 29, 2021. Hindered of traveling by the pandemic, viewers of his art will be able to escape their daily routine and embark on a dream journey that will give them new energy and put a smile on their face.
