Frequentis AG: FREQUENTIS strengthens market position in public safety sector with orders for control centres in Lübeck & Rostock

Germany / Austria (pta009/16.12.2021/07:45 UTC+1)

  • Frequentis Germany receives contract for the new procurement of the emergency call and radio system for the control centres of Lübeck and Rostock in Germany
  • Fully redundant, Voice over IP (VoIP)-based communication system
  • ASGARD product line already in use at 40 control centres across Germany

"With the Frequentis product line ASGARD, which is specifically designed for use in fire brigade and industry control centres in the German market, we offer a flexible, highly reliable software solution for safety-critical control centres. ASGARD strengthens Frequentis' strong position in the German public safety market," says CEO Norbert Haslacher.

Frequentis was awarded the contracts for the projects in the context of EU-wide tenders. Frequentis Germany will be responsible for the delivery and integration of both control centres, including the service of the systems.

The integrated control centre of Lübeck, the largest city in Schleswig-Holstein with more than 200,000 inhabitants, and the integrated control centre of the Hanseatic city Rostock, which serves the most populous city in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with around 210,000 inhabitants, are responsible for the diverse tasks of a safety-critical communication centre. These include the fast answering of emergency calls, alerting the emergency services, coordinating rescue operations, and dispatching ambulance transports.

The proven Frequentis software solution ASGARD ensures professional communication management for these tasks, thanks to its high flexibility, reliability, and availability. It also allows for seamless integration into existing infrastructures. The communication system is already operational in more than 40 control centres across Germany.

"With ASGARD, we provide control centres of public safety authorities and business organisations with an optimal product for their safety-critical tasks. 2021 was a successful year for our solution. We are proud of the reference projects of the two Hanseatic cities of Lübeck and Rostock and the trust they place in Frequentis", emphasises Reinhard Grimm, Managing Director Frequentis Germany.
