Real estate market 2015: First Mallorca optimistic

Increasing demand from British, Swiss and American Buyers

Palma de Mallorca (pts022/27.01.2015/16:00) Despite the serious financial changes in Russia the Spanish real estate agent "First Mallorca" expects a sustained positive demand for private properties on the Spanish holiday island. "We expect increases due to the favorable currency exchange rate for the British, Swiss and on the US market," CEO Heidi Stadler says. "If we look at the sales and rental figures, we can stay relaxed. 'Healthy' pre-payments in 2014 will contribute to the positive results of 2015. We are already talking about a sales volume of at least 18 million euros at the beginning of the year." http://www.firstmallorca.com

First Mallorca sees changes especially among the nationalities of buyers and sellers. For the first time the British top the list of home buyers in front of the previously undefeated Germans, Swedish buyers now hold the third place this year. With regard to the sellers, there were about 44 percent Spanish in 2014, followed by the British. Also very positive the experts note that the real estate promoters have regained their confidence, as many new projects are in the pipeline.

In 2014 new projects such as the "'Es Pinar" were presented successfully, an existing complex of 80 apartments right next to the Royal Golf of Bendinat close to the sea, with constantly booked reservations and sales. http://www.firstmallorca.com/en/property/16588 Another exclusive, something smaller development - Palma Portals - is located in Portals Nous. http://www.firstmallorca.com/en/property/53918 Seven of the eleven high quality apartments were sold within the first months, the remaining four units are receiving a lot of interest and viewings for the springtime. Stadler: "It seems as if Mallorca is remaining on the top of the list for 'investments in lifestyle - private holiday properties' and investors looking for a guaranteed return on investment."
