B2B trade show eroFame celebrates 5th anniversary


Hanover (pts019/25.06.2014/12:00) Erotic Lifestyle is the next big thing, and it gains momentum all over the world: This will also be reflected at the fifth instalment of the international b2b event eroFame Tradeconvention, when the organisers welcome the international trade at the EXPO fairgrounds in Hanover on October 08 to 10. Roughly 200 exhibitors from all over the world are going to present their top brands to the trade members on roughly 11,000 square metres of exhibition space - and both, exhibitors and visitors will be invited to celebrate the fifth anniversary of eroFame.

The main intention of eroFame is to cater to the growing market for erotic lifestyle products for women and couples and to foster acceptance of these products. Demand for erotic lifestyle items is going up all over the world, making this segment a new turnover generator for the retailers. This year at eroFame, trade members can once again take a close look at a wide range of products that cover all the facets of the "erotic lifestyle", from sex toys and lingerie to fashion, consumables, and cosmetics. The organiser, Mediatainment publishing eroFame GmbH, is expecting to welcome up to 3,000 trade visitors and members of the press from all over the world in 2014.

"eroFame has grown over the course of the past five years, just like the acceptance and demand for lifestyle products has grown, especially among female consumers. You just have to take a look at the number of female trade members at eroFame - i.e. traders and retailers. This group will make up close to 50 per cent of the visitors this years," explains Wieland Hofmeister, managing director of Mediatainment Publishing eroFame GmbH, describing the development of eroFame since its premiere five years ago.

"In these past years, a new trend has emerged: More and more trade members who attend eroFame don't run classical erotic shops, but have lingerie stores or boutique-style stores instead, or they focus on cosmetics and wellness, or on home parties, etc. - and that goes for both, the visitors from the brick and mortar trade and the online trade. The exhibiting companies and their products reflect this development. eroFame has had the pleasure of welcoming new international companies every year for the past five years, and they cover the entire spectrum of relevant erotic lifestyle products in our industry," Hofmeister concludes.

Admission to eroFame is free for trade visitors, as are the catering at noon on all three days of the event, the shuttle service that will take visitors from the partner hotels to the fairgrounds, and the big event party on October 09, 2014 .

About eroFame 2014
eroFame is a b2b trade convention for suppliers and trade members who are responding to the social developments and the growing moral acceptance of "erotic lifestyle", a trend enjoyed by more and more women and couples. The event took place for the first time in Berlin in 2010.
The intention of the organisers (Mediatainment Publishing eroFame GmbH, an affiliate of Mediatainment Publishing GmbH, the leading publisher of b2b industry magazines in Europe, known for EAN and eLINE) is to offer a platform for erotic products outside the hardcore industry, and they are supported by big and renowned industry members, producers and wholesalers alike.

After the great success of the first eroFame trade convention in 2010, the show moved to fairgrounds in Hanover in 2011 and has been taking place there ever since. Roughly two hundred international exhibitors present special products from the world of "erotic lifestyle", for instance toys, lingerie and fashion, pharmaceuticals, consumables, and much, much more.

Within the first four years of eroFame, the trade convention - that caters exclusively to international retailers and wholesalers as well as members of the press and industry (as opposed to a consumer show) - has already turned into the leading event of its kind.

Several times a year, the organisers meet with the members of the trade show advisory board that is made up of representatives of six big, European companies from this market. The goal of these meetings is to continuously improve and optimise eroFame.
